Best Easter Weekend ever

We had a horrible week. I was in the hospital for 5 days with an intestinal blockage, had surgery and am now home recovering. It was horrible. The darkest days of my life and needless to say, I am happy to be home. I'll end with the details and move on to happier things... like Easter. I was at home. My parents came to Calgary last week, Darren's parents moved into our house to watch the kids while my mom and Darren rotated hospital shifts. Friday was my first day home and Darren decided we should make suishi... the girls love this and we're probably going to go broke because of it. It's a costly meal for 5. Our at home version was more fun and just as yummy.

Grandpa and Grandma Byram were here for Easter weekend and the egg colouring/Easter Bunny festivities. Grandma Debbie is still here because I can't lift Connor for 6 weeks.

Holding Connor - but no lifting for 6 weeks. We are now on the hunt for a live-in nanny.

The girls in their Easter dresses - fun fun fun.

I am so sorry. Oh my gracious. I sure wish you lived closer. Thank goodness for wonderful parents. I'm thinking of you and love you lots.

P.S. Your hair looks fabulous.

Good grief, 5 days in the hospital :( that's so sad. And the darkest days of your life... that just breaks my heart. What did they do to you? do you think you will be back to normal after the 6 week recovery?

YUCK! (But of course, I'm like: "Ooh, I wonder if she lost a bunch of weight.)

And what's wrong, ya sissy? Can't lift a little teeny baby?

Of course I'm crazy like Jessica and my first thought was about weight loss - and from the picture it seems either you didn't have any to lose or it managed to get rid of those last few baby pounds! I'm glad you're feeling better and you had lots of grandparents to help.

Omigosh, my sister had her gallbladder removed last week too and was in the hospital for like 3 days. Yours definitely sounds worse. Thank goodness for grandparents to handle the childcare. My other sister drove up to take care of Val's 3 year old and 6 month old, but she had to bring her own 3 year old and 16 month old too. Crazy!

Hope you get feeling better soon, because you already look great!!
